Gate launch Business Club
|
Margate Football Club is launching a Business Club to help develop new sources of income for the coming and future seasons.
With the hard work of clearing the club’s debt in the past, attention now switches to financial stability, growth and building a successful commercial operation off the pitch to sustain a promotion push on it.
Manage Iain O’Connell said only this week that ideally he would prefer to have another one or two players on the books, but that he acknowledges and supports that working within a sustainable budget is critical to the ongoing success of the football club.
The Margate FC Business Club will focus on developing fund raising ideas and forming connection between the club and new business partners.
Director Cliff Egan said: “The Business Club will meet on the first Thursday of each month at Hartsdown Park and we hope that as a group we can open up new sources of income and get more business people involved in helping to make our club successful.”
“It would be great to hear from former players who have their own business,” added Cliff.
So if you are a business owner or director and want to get involved in your local football club and help to keep the BLUES in the BLACK, give Cliff Egan a call on 07868 564 563. |
