Former Everton and Wales Goalkeeper who made over 500 Football League appearances and picked up 93 caps. Was named Football Writers Association Footballer of the Year in 1985 and was awarded an MBE for services to football in 1997.

After his league career he started coaching in Non-League and became Hastings Manager in 2004 but left less than a year later.

Has coached locally for a couple of years and was appointed to the position of Football Development Officer in May 2008 and became first-team coach following Barry Ashby’s departure in October 2008.

Took over as Caretaker Manager following Terry Yoraths resignation on September 2009 but after failing to land the job full-time he is currently in negotians about a continuing role at the club..
