Roberto originally signed for the Margate at the start of the 2007/08 season having spent pre-season with Maidstone United.

Arguably, he did not get the starts he deserved in that opening term with only seven appearances (three as substitute).

Last season appeared as though it was going to be a better one as he started the first four games before injury at Dover in late August set the tone for the rest of the season as he eventually had three spells out with injury and only managed 13 starts and one substitute appearance.

Finally returned to action in a League Cup game in November but only lasted half an hour before injury, unfortunately, saw his comeback match cut short.

Able to play right or left back and on the right side of midfield, his pace and versatility will prove an asset to the Blues.
